Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Simmons University. My research and teaching interests are located within American politics, with particular specializations in public policy, race and politics, state and local politics, political inequality, political behavior, and qualitative methods.
My research has been published or is forthcoming in Policy Studies Journal, Du Bois Review, State Politics and Policy Quarterly, Journal of Health Politics, Policy, and Law, Social Science History, and Analyses of Social Issues and Public Policy.
Prior to Simmons University, I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and my B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago.
